“Finding my feet in the business was truly humbling, with the support of another cat business, Liverpurrs (owned by Katy Alger), I was able to learn the runnings of the industry and before I knew it, we we’re booking people in for our first ever Christmas; which the cats and their families loved! I was even pictured on a local Liverpool group going to and from homes as early as five in the morning, dressed as Mrs Claus for the cats on Christmas Day.

Soon after, I was then made redundant from my full time job which made me take the jump in doing BKS full time. Despite all my apparent newly free time, I was becoming so busy that I then hired Erin, who has progressed into earning a zoology degree and getting a graduate job after her time with us. We have also hired Faye and Jessica to help the business in different locations.

During this period I also come to realise what we were providing was much more than the role of an average cat sitter. We we’re taking cats to check ups, popping in to see them when families we’re at work and training in insulin injections; we even supported a woman in keeping her cat in their home for three months whilst she was in personal recovery elsewhere. We we’re proudly becoming essential parts to many of the families and homes we support; which was when I decided to establish us as Liverpools first self declared cat nannies.”
